MY BACKGROUND

Now that my contract with RoCo Industries is over, I am looking forward to continuing work finding innovative and efficient solutions for new clients and real-life situations. I specialize in research and data analytics, as well as strategy, and I am interested in trendspotting, branding, and niche marketing. Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite, Clear Decisions Crosstab/RandF, Numeris Micro+, and Comscore.

In my time at the Algonquin College Advertising and Marketing program, I have learned what I am really passionate about and how to research for raw data, as well as how to process it into statistics. I have really enjoyed the Trendspotting, Branding, Research, and Copywriting classes.

Sep. 2018–May 2019.

Glue Magazine, Account Executive.

As part of the Work–Field Experience class, I was assigned to be an Account Executive for the Glue magazine. I was tasked with scouting for potential clients, as well as contacting them and selling the advertising services of Glue magazine.

Mar. 2020–Apr. 2020.

Marketing What's New, Administrative Marketing Analyst.

In order to graduate, I was required to find a six-week internship at a company of my choice. After going to a couple of industry mixers, and meeting up for a few cups of coffee, I met with Glenn Schmelzle, the founder of Marketing What's New. Later that evening I was offered an intern position at Marketing What's New. In my time with Marketing What's New I have gained more experience using tools such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Ads, and AdStage. I was tasked with monitoring campaigns, writing performance reports both for internal purposes and client reviews, and voicing my opinions on what I think we should be doing next.

RoCo Industries, Marketing Coordinator

In my first job out of college, I have been consulting with Mr. Roderick Costain about the positioning of his new Startup company, RoCo Industries, as well as how to reach the right people for his product before I was signed on a contract. In my time with RoCo industries, I was in charge of the positioning of the SparClad product line, as well as setting up the social media standards with the rest of the team, and outsourcing talent in order to get visuals and other promotional material created.

WHERE I SHINE

Tweed & Pride – 2019

We were tasked by Tweed to create a campaign for the upcoming Pride Prade (2020) within 24 hours. With a group of five people, we have researched the common roots between cannabis and the LGBTQ+ community, and how we could tap into them in order to bring the presence of Tweed in the Pride Parade to be natural, unlike many other brands.

Carlingwood Mall – 2019

We were tasked by  Carlingwood Mall to create a campaign in order to increase the number of young families that shop in the mall. After identifying what is the target audience that will benefit from the services that the Carlingwood Mall has to offer, we have tailored an event as well as a creative in-mail invite that will be sent to the target audience. By using this invite, we could also measure the success of the campaign.

Hypothetical Brand – 2020

With the failure of Google's Stadia project, one is left to ask, "What were they trying to achieve?". After an analysis of the demographics that are using streaming services, I have identified a new target audience, that will benefit from a streaming service for gaming. In the following slide show,  there is a brief explanation on how to reach them using a tier-based gaming incentive.
